Midsummer Mischief places storybook figures among twisting branches and leafy forms, their mint, sage and seafoam ground broken by raspberry, plum, ochre and coral. Black contours give the composition a lively graphic edge: a wide-eyed figure appears at the upper right, another turns across the center, and smaller faces and limbs recur through the surrounding foliage. The drawstring bag has a simple backpack shape, with narrow contrasting straps, a drawstring closure and twin cotton handles.
