Cobalt Cabinet begins with a cobalt-blue ground crowded by porcelain medallions: expressive blue brushwork, fine ornamental marks, and tiny scenes appear in an irregular scatter, with coral, ochre, and moss green flickering through the mostly blue-and-white composition. On the skater skirt, the motifs continue from the elastic waistband to the mid-thigh hem, expanding slightly across the flare.
