Viveros Vortex begins in a whirl of acid green, molten orange, cyan, magenta and lacquered black: painted feminine faces surface through liquid ribbons, with one large face centered on the bodice and further faces and curls spilling down the skirt. The sleeveless skater dress has a softly scooped neckline, an elastic waist and a mid-thigh flared skirt. Its smooth, elastic fabric follows the body before opening into movement, while the coverstitch hem keeps the finish neat. It has the lively, slightly surreal presence of a gallery image in motion.
