Velvet Versailles lays curling antique-gold vines, acanthus leaves and small floral flourishes over a deep midnight-indigo field, the motifs drifting across the rounded front and continuing over the top and sides. The minimalist backpack has a clean, softly structured silhouette in polyester, with a silky lining, a soft mesh back and padded ergonomic straps. Inside, a large compartment includes a separate pocket for a 15-inch laptop; a zipped pocket is concealed at the back. Carried against a dark coat, it reads like a fragment of an old velvet salon.
