Turquoise Riot sends electric turquoise through a dense field of violet, orange and yellow forms, with black-and-white ink contours curling into foliage-like shapes. The artwork moves continuously across the pencil skirt: sweeping ribbons cross the front while purple ground and dark brushwork gather around the waist, hips and hem. Cut close to the body with a mid-waist fit, the skirt is made from soft polyester with spandex for stretch. Its smooth line lets the animated print do the talking, turning each step into another arrangement of color and ink.
