On the bodice, white splashes and fine tracery cross the black ground; two elongated faces emerge near the lower front, while the pattern continues across the straps and flared skirt. The sleeveless skater dress has a smooth, elastic fabric, an elastic waistline and a mid-thigh hem. Its skirt opens gently from the waist, giving the restless artwork room to shift as you move.
