Starlight Engine begins in steel blue, graphite and silver: articulated forms, looping cables and fractured surfaces converge across the bodice, while bright white flares and small flashes of icy green break through the darker machinery. The continuous artwork follows the fitted waist into the flared skirt, where the motifs widen and shift with the movement of the hem. The sleeveless skater dress has a smooth, elastic fabric, an elastic waistline and a mid-thigh skirt. It moves from hard-edged geometry at the torso to a flickering mechanical rhythm around the legs.
