Silent Currents draws black and ivory lines into dense, hand-drawn currents: across the bodice they bend in long horizontal flows, while tighter oval eddies gather at the right waist and the skirt breaks into sweeping topographic formations. The sleeveless skater dress has a close, scoop-necked bodice, an elastic waistline and a mid-thigh flared skirt. Its smooth, elastic fabric follows the body before opening into a fluid hem; overlock seams and a coverstitch hemline keep the finish neat. In motion, the monochrome lines seem to pull the silhouette outward.
