Scarlet Orbit sets cyan, cobalt, violet, green and white rounded forms against vivid scarlet, each one threaded with black contour lines and painterly marks. The pattern keeps moving from the scoop neckline down through the fitted bodice and into the flared skirt, where larger cyan and blue motifs meet smaller scattered shapes. The sleeveless skater dress has a smooth, elastic fabric, an elastic waistline and a mid-thigh hem. Its close upper shape and easy flare give the artwork room to move, like a bright orbit gathered around the body.
