Piranesi's Web gathers charcoal, graphite, ivory and silver into a dense city of angular facades, broken grids and ribbed forms, with a slender illustrated figure running down the center front and linework radiating across the bodice and skirt. The sleeveless skater dress has a close, scoop-necked shape above an elastic waistline, then opens into a mid-thigh flared skirt. Its smooth, elastic polyester fabric follows the body before giving the artwork room to move, turning the figure and geometry into a shifting urban collage with every step.
