Origami Voltage begins in a mosaic of electric cyan, scarlet, orange and deep blue facets, threaded with white cranes whose angular wings give the pattern a sense of lift. The artwork travels across the bodice and straps into the flared skirt, where the motifs gather and shift with the hem. This sleeveless skater dress has a smooth, elastic fabric, a gently shaped waist and a mid-thigh skirt that moves away from the body. The elastic waistline keeps the silhouette clear, while the cranes seem to rise as the skirt swings.
