Origami Aviary gathers angular paper cranes into a restless flock, their turquoise, cobalt, coral, blush pink, ivory and molten-orange forms shifting direction across the chocolate-brown ground. Larger birds punctuate the leg while smaller folded shapes fill the spaces between, so the pattern keeps moving as the socks do. The crew-length socks have a soft ribbed leg and a stretchy polyester-and-spandex feel, with cushioned soles underfoot. Against the dark ground, each step leaves a brief flash of folded color.
