Obsidian Tide sends black and ivory liquid ribbons, ink-like eddies and fine tracery across the board shorts, with pale whirlpools gathered low on the front and darker currents sweeping through the upper half. The silhouette is relaxed and straight, with an adjustable drawcord waistband, side pockets and a rear flap pocket. Polyester with spandex gives the fabric a little stretch, while its quick-drying finish suits time in and around the water. White ties cut through the dark marbling like loose strokes of chalk.
