Neon Switchboard begins as a dense field of outlined blocks, bars and rounded components, its charcoal and black ground threaded with turquoise, tangerine, vivid red and white. The motifs run continuously from waist to hem, shifting in scale and direction so the skirt seems to move even at rest. The pencil skirt sits at the mid waist and follows the body closely, in a soft polyester-and-spandex fabric with a little stretch. A gently curved hem keeps the graphic surface from feeling rigid, leaving the whole piece like a small, kinetic machine in motion.
