Monochrome Mayhem sends black-and-white inkwork in perpetual motion across the skirt: spirals, curling contours and mechanical-looking forms crowd the midsection, while fractured organic shapes gather densely from the high waist to the asymmetric-looking hem. The pencil skirt is cut close to the body with a mid-waist fit, giving the busy artwork a clean, elongated frame. Polyester with spandex makes the fabric soft and flexible, and the white thread is a small visible detail against the dark linework. It has the concentrated energy of a sketchbook brought into the evening.
