Midnight Mambo sends electric indigo, cobalt, vermilion and molten-gold ribbons through a deep, star-flecked ground, the painterly swirls bending across the front and around the sides while pale marbled highlights punctuate the darker field. The minimalist backpack has a clean, softly rounded silhouette in water-resistant polyester, with a silky lining, soft mesh back and padded ergonomic straps. Inside, a large compartment includes a separate pocket for a 15-inch laptop; a zipped pocket sits discreetly against the back. Against a night sky, its colors seem to keep moving.
