Menzel's Maelstrom begins in deep charcoal, where molten amber, turquoise, acid green and icy blue brushwork gathers into painted figures, luminous eyes, floating orbs and liquid ribbons. The movement travels across the front, back and sleeves, with a large blue orb appearing near the left shoulder and warmer curls pooling through the center. The women's short-sleeve pajama top has a relaxed silhouette, a button front and a silky-feel polyester fabric.
