Menzel's Maelstrom is a nocturnal swirl of deep charcoal, molten amber, turquoise, acid green and icy blue, with painted faces, bright eyes and floating orbs threading from the waistband down to the hem. The motifs gather densely across the front, while liquid ribbons and flashes of color break up the darker ground.
