Martian Gridlock brings a dense slate-blue field of irregular cellular shapes to the swim trunks, with fine coral, apricot, saffron and lavender lines winding across the front and sides like mineral veins. The pattern stays small and continuous on the short, straight silhouette, giving the color room to flicker as you move. Made from four-way-stretch water-repellent microfiber, the trunks have an elastic waistband with drawcord, mesh pockets and a small inside pocket for valuables. An anti-chafe mesh liner keeps the finish considered, while the surface lands somewhere between a tide chart and a piece of abstract painting.
