Martian Gridlock starts with a deep slate-blue field, crowded with irregular cellular shapes and fine coral, apricot, saffron and lavender lines. The mineral-like pattern stays continuous from the scoop neckline through the fitted bodice, gathers into darker folds at the waist, and opens across the flared skirt, where the colors shift with each pleat. The sleeveless skater dress has smooth, elastic polyester fabric, an elastic waistline and a mid-thigh hem. It moves lightly as the skirt swings, keeping the dense artwork in motion.
