Mantegna Swirl sends royal cobalt and ink-blue currents around the uppers, where orange and gold ribbons coil through shells, botanical fragments, masks and circular jewel-like forms. The dense field shifts with every curve of these women’s high top canvas shoes, while white toe caps and laces leave the artwork room to move. The canvas upper has a breathable lining, a soft insole and a padded collar; the EVA rubber outsole gives the lace-up shape a clean finish. On the foot, they read like small panels of baroque color in motion.
