Luminous Abyss is a liquid tangle of magenta, electric blue, acid green and fiery orange, its ribbons folding into black, eye-like openings across the legs and waistband. The board shorts have a straightforward knee-length silhouette, with the pattern continuing over the front, back and side seams; a bright spiral settles near the upper right leg. Polyester with spandex gives the fabric a little stretch, while the adjustable drawcord keeps the waist neat. Side pockets and a flap-fastened rear pocket leave the shorts ready for the shoreline, where the dark voids flicker between waves and color.
