Kowch's Enigma begins with a pale sage woodland, its fine, twisting branches crossing the bodice and sleeves while weathered trunks gather from the hem and plum, aubergine, russet and muted-gold blooms punctuate the green. The sleeveless skater dress follows the body through the waist before opening into a mid-thigh flared skirt, letting the trees lengthen and the flowers drift as the fabric moves. Its smooth, elastic fabric and elastic waistline keep the shape easy to wear. The result is a small, wandering forest in motion.
