Kohn's Whirl sends diagonal strokes of charcoal, steel blue, smoky gray, ember red and orange across the bag, with gold glints, rounded pools of color and darker, storm-like forms breaking up the flow. The drawstring bag has a simple, upright shape in polyester, finished with narrow contrasting shoulder straps for carrying as a backpack and twin cotton handles. Its drawstring closure gathers the top into a loose, rippling edge, while the artwork keeps moving from the deep blue lower section to the fiery orange and red forms above.
