Hirschl's Vortex opens on a black ground crossed by luminous cyan rings, crystalline grids and brushlike streaks in ultraviolet, magenta, acid green and molten yellow-orange. The forms appear to surge around the socks, with bright circular machinery gathering near the lower leg and energetic arcs cutting through the dark field; black cuffs and soles frame the color. These crew socks have a soft ribbed leg, a stretchy polyester-and-spandex feel and cushioned soles. Worn with cropped trousers or peeking from boots, they bring a small piece of midnight circuitry into view.
