Astronauts drift across the bodice and flare through the skirt, so the motifs seem to tumble as the dress moves. The sleeveless skater dress has a scoop neckline, an elastic waistline and a mid-thigh flared skirt. Its smooth, elastic polyester fabric follows the shape without losing the artwork’s painterly depth. Left to move, the skirt turns into a small orbit of color and figures.
