Gilded Stardust begins with a deep black sky alive with gold stars, sparks, crescents and geometric emblems. Large outlined stars and triangular symbols punctuate the front, while smaller points and fine, metallic-looking marks fill the spaces between, giving the pattern a sense of movement from waist to hem. The pencil skirt sits at the mid waist and follows the body in a close silhouette. Its polyester-and-spandex fabric is soft and comfortable, with a little stretch; the hem curves gently at the back. Against the dark ground, the gold motifs read like a constellation in motion.
