Ember Coil gathers burnished ochre, copper, muted blue and ivory into curling, petal-like and shell-like forms, their inked lines winding over the charcoal upper from toe to heel and around the sides. Men’s slip-on canvas shoes give the dense artwork an easy outline, with a rounded toe, low profile and elastic side accents. The upper is polyester canvas, with a breathable lining, soft removable insole and padded collar and tongue; the outsole is EVA rubber. Worn with denim or dark tailoring, the shoes let the pattern move at ground level like a small nocturnal landscape.
