Dupain Swirl is built from black, white and smoky graphite bands that bend into nested spirals and pointed, leaf-like convergences. On the bodice, the lines gather into a sharp central point and sweep outward; lower down, smaller spiral forms sit among broader curving bands, giving the skirt a sense of continuous motion. The sleeveless skater dress has a softly rounded neckline, an elastic waistline and a mid-thigh flared skirt. Its smooth, elastic polyester fabric follows the body before opening into movement at the hem, like ink pulled into a whirlpool.
