Desert Carnival gathers birds, horses, camels and smaller folk-art creatures into a dense cream-ground composition, with teal, vermilion, saffron and turquoise motifs flowing across the neckline, close-fitting bodice, waist and skirt. Marigold-like flowers and leafy sprigs fill the spaces between them, keeping the pattern in motion from shoulder to hem. The bodycon dress has a neat sleeveless shape and smooth microfiber yarn with four-way stretch, so it follows the figure without interrupting the artwork. In the finished silhouette, the cream ground flickers between color and ornament like a sunlit market cloth.
