The artwork travels across the full flared shape, so a lime-green figure, curled snail-like forms and colorful fruit appear among the folds from waistband to hem. The skater skirt is mid-thigh length in smooth polyester and elastane, with an elastic waistband and a clean coverstitch hemline. In motion, the flare lets the cosmic garden open and close like a small illustrated universe.
