Chalmers Vortex begins with electric ribbons in acid green, cyan, violet and hot pink, coiling through a midnight-indigo web of arcs and orbital forms. On the bodice, luminous circular motifs draw the eye inward; the currents continue through the waist and break into larger, rounded forms across the flared skirt. The sleeveless skater dress has a scoop neckline, an elastic waistline and a smooth, elastic fabric that follows the body before opening to mid-thigh. Its swirling color gives the skirt a sense of motion, even at rest.
