Cartographer’s Relic gathers cream, teal, deep navy and muted khaki into drifting fragments of maps, diagrams and star charts, with small compass-like marks appearing through the irregular shapes from neckline to hem. The relaxed midi slip dress has a V-neckline, adjustable tie-close shoulder straps and a built-in bra. Heavy polyester chiffon gives the surface a light, fluid fall, while the front side slit breaks the straight line of the skirt. It is an exploratory pattern made easy to read in motion, like an old chart carried briefly into the present.
