Blackwave Botanica turns the shoes into a field of black, white and gray linework: layered wave forms ripple over the toes, sides and heels, with leaf- and feather-like shapes folding into the pattern as it curves around the foot. The slip-on shape keeps the profile clean, while the polyester canvas upper gives the artwork a crisp surface. Elastic side accents make them easy to step into; the removable soft insole, breathable lining and padded collar and tongue sit inside, with an EVA rubber outsole below. On the foot, the pattern reads like ink in motion.
