Aurora Rapture begins in a deep black ground, where lemon-yellow, magenta, turquoise, violet and emerald ribbons curl into fluid marbled loops. Fine filament-like lines thread through the color, with larger pale sweeps gathering at the front and smaller dark eddies breaking across the hem. The skater skirt has a smooth fabric, a flared silhouette and mid-thigh length; its elastic waistband keeps the waistline clean and flexible. The artwork gives the skirt a sense of continuous motion, as if the color might keep turning with every step.
