Abstract Undertow sets black brushwork against white in a restless field of spirals, loops, streaks and organic fragments: a large circular form anchors the bodice, while smaller rings and broken marks scatter down the flared skirt and continue over the straps. The sleeveless skater dress has a smooth, elastic fabric, a close-fitting upper shape and an elastic waistline that opens into a mid-thigh skirt. Its monochrome movement gathers at the waist, then fans out with each step, like ink caught in a current.
