Kohn Cubism opens in a deep, star-speckled field of turquoise, amber, ochre and coral, its luminous bursts scattered through painterly washes while tall ink-black and red gestures run down the sides. The color continues across the drawstring bag, giving the simple shape a shifting, atmospheric surface. Made from polyester, it has a drawstring closure, narrow contrasting shoulder straps and twin cotton handles, so it can sit neatly on the back or be carried by hand. Against the dark straps, the bag reads like a small moving fragment of night sky.
